Cori & Kelly are longtime songwriters, worship leaders and best friends. Their sound has been compared to that of Anne Wilson, Carrie Underwood and Hillary Scott and their blended harmonies as well as their relatable personalities are what sets them apart.
In 2010, the duo met through their church’s praise team in Panama City, Florida, and became close friends. They officially formed, ”We Anointed” in 2014 after being asked to lead worship at their fall women’s retreat. However, they changed the name to “Cori & Kelly” a few years later in order to reach a broader audience within the Christian and Country genres.
In 2018, after a summer of touring the southwest with their first radio release, “Take Me Back to Church”, their hometown community of Panama City was rocked by Hurricane Michael. Putting their normal gigs on hold and starting the journey of piecing their own lives back together, Cori & Kelly stepped up as inspirational leaders; singing songs of hope to large stadium gatherings, schools, churches and even neighborhood cul-de-sacs. The music video of their cover song, “Come to Jesus” by Mindy Smith features images of their home church and spots around town just days following the cat 5 hurricane making landfall. The video currently has combined views of over 170k on their social media accounts and continues to inspire people all over the world.
After Hurricane Michael, the duo was forced to separate as Kelly’s family needed to move back to her hometown of Hazlehurst, GA. They placed all of their trust in God as to whether or not they would be able to continue a long distance relationship both as friends and business partners. However, God was not done with them yet. In fact, the separation was exactly what they needed to grow as individuals.
After focusing primarily within the Christian Country genre, the duo entered the Contemporary Christian space in 2021 with their debut Worship album, “Show Me The Way”. This brought about several new connections and opportunities for 2022 including opening for Jordan Ross from the hit TV series, “The Chosen” as well as the Grammy® and Dove award nominated band, High Road. They also had the opportunity to work with Grammy® nominated and Dove award winning songwriter and producer, Jeff Pardo on an updated version of their current single, “Lift My Hands”, and performed at the One-Fest Christian music festival in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.
Outside of music, the duo stays busy. Cori is the worship leader at Forest Park United Methodist Church in Panama City, FL as well as a wife and a mom to 2 precious boys and a baby girl. She recently started a podcast titled "Catchin' Up With Cori", created to help Christians tell their stories to the world.
Kelly is the worship leader at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Hazlehurst, GA and is a wife and a mom to a beautiful daughter and sweet little boy. She recently started "Kelly's Music School", teaching piano and Little Tike music lessons from her home.
Putting all of their trust in God and with the blessings and support of their friends & families, Cori & Kelly are excited to see where their partnership and lifelong love of music takes them.
